One the eve of the sixth anniversary of the expulsion from Gush Katif, thousands flock to Gush Katif Museum in Yerushalayim to strengthen the expellees to identify with them and preserve the heritage of Gush Katif. In light of demand from the diverse public, the museum opens daily from nine am to nine pm (9:00 to 21:00). The museum displays various exhibits and new artists of Gush Katif, in addition to regular exhibits. A variety of activities are available for summer camps and children of all ages.

The museum has become a magnet for tens of thousands of visitors from all circles, especially on the anniversary of the expulsion. Many come to express solidarity with the residents of Gush Katif, in light of the great suffering faced by displaced persons and to learn about the glorious chapter of Jewish settlement in the Katif. "The museum made an unprecedented revolution of consciousness among the huge public," said the museum board. "Its influence makes its mark in many areas. Every family in Israel must come to the museum, learn the glorious chapter of Gush Katif and the legacy bequeathed to us, in order not to forget what happened."
In the museum, one can watch amazing documentary films, as well as along the historic Jewish settlement timeline in the Gaza area dating back 3,000 years, with glorious and successful agriculture, synagogues prior to their destruction, the Netzarim Menorah, historical Gush Katif exhibits, changing exhibits and more.

As we commemorate six years to the Expulsion, distressing data was published on the situation of the Gush Katif expellees. Most of them are still homeless, and a lot of trouble has befallen the precious and courageous families of Gush Katif, who protected our borders with their bodies and souls.
In commemoration of the anniversary of the expulsion, the Gush Katif Museum launched a new site, "Katif Shop" selling Gush Katif products - albums, souvenirs, children′s books, history books, and more. These items are sold at the Museum of Gush Katif, and are unique pieces of art that express the Gush Katif experience by the best writers and artists.
