New Book: The Good Life in Yehuda and Shomron
"Yesha is Fun". The quality album covers the emerging boutique tourism in the West Bank. The Guide is signed by Shlomo Bashan, who served as the Gush Katif Museum director at the onset, and his wife Karni Eldad - Bashan, the daughter of MK Prof. Aryeh Eldad. The fascinating photographs are thanks to the book designer, artist, illustrator and Bezalel graduate, Amasa Menachem.
The guide includes hundreds of sites, including B&B, cafes and restaurants, olive presses and sheep farms, boutique wineries and farms, museums, artists and therapists. Most sites were never covered in travel guides published in the country, because they are all is on the right side of the "Green Line" in Benyamin, Shomron, the Jordan Valley and northern Dead Sea, Gush Etzion and Mount Chevron.
"We have a dream", say the tourist guide authors, "to influence the area and strengthen the many entrepreneurs in the West Bank. We wish to make us Yehuda and Shomron a choice pick for boutique tourism, one based on the initiative, quality, love of country and blessing of G-d."
