Thousands at the Museum during Succos
Thousands visited the Gush Katif Museum during the Succos holiday, including public figures from all walks of life. At this time the Museum is accentuating learning groups from schools, educational institutions and workers′ committees that come to learn first hand about Gush Katif. Vice-Mayor Dovid Hadari visited the Gush Katif Museum in Yerushalayim for a meeting of introduction and study about the Museum′s specific needs, which was established to introduce the Gush Katif legacy to the broad population. "The Gush Katif Museum is a unique gem in the heart of Yerushalayim, and implants the memories of Gush Katif in tens of thousands of visitors. We must all extend a helping hand to our expelled brethren."
Mr. Shlomo Wasserteil, Museum director, mentioned the special cultural activities of the museum that occupy the expellees, and established the Gush Katif Chesed Center that assists many of the expellees. He thanked Mr. Hadari for coming to visit, and for his promise to continue working in partnership.

Histadrut Chairman among the Thousands of Museum Visitors
One of the honored guests among the thousands that thronged to the museum was Mr. Avraham Duvdevani, newly elected Chairman of the World Zionist Organization. Mr. Duvdevani and his family spent three hours in the Museum, touring all the museum wings. They were visibly impressed by the general public visiting the museum. Mr. Shlomo Wasserteil, director of the museum, accompanied him on the tour.
At the conclusion of his emotion- packed visit, Mr. Duvdevani wrote in the Visitors Book the following inscription: "May the All- Merciful One rebuild the fallen Sukkah of Dovid. The story of the Gush as it is reflected in the Museum is a great and powerful success of lessons that must permeate to all the entire population. Theses are lessons of dedication, loyalty, mission of purpose in being here, of hope, building and eternity. It is small in size, but contains great content- great pain but tremendous faith and hope, deep sadness but trust in the Eternity of Israel, and above all- a never-ending love for this country and a Jewish Zionist model for the entire nation. More power to you! Be strong and courageous. With great admiration, with you, Avraham Duvdevani (Duvdov).
