"Our Land of Israel" Exclusive Interview: Rabbi Yisroel Ariel

"The Jewish Nation Didn′t Learn a Lesson from the Holocaust"

Rabbi Ariel, the construction freeze will end in just a few weeks.  What are your feelings?

"Sadly, I don′t suspect that the Prime Minister will send out the whole country to build in Yesha at the conclusion of the freeze. ′There is no one as wise as one with experience.′  We remember when Begin became Prime Minister.  Everyone believed that a turnover happened, and an era of building Eretz Yisroel had arrived.  There was a feeling of euphoria; it felt like Moshiach had come!  In three months flat he announced his ′peace plan′ and tore Eretz Yisroel to shreds.  Every one of the Likud leaders is a false messiah: before elections, they do lots of talking about Eretz Yisroel, and afterwards they slice up the land and divide Yerushalayim.  With all due solemnity they announce to the public that land cession and settlement destruction are essentially good, and how brilliant and wonderful the construction freeze is.  The leaders do everything possible to hang on to their chairs, although it has been proven many times that the chairs of those who harm Eretz Yisroel collapse sooner or later. We all observed what happened to Begin, Rabin, Sharon, and Olmert in his turn. Truth persists, and falsehood self destructs.  The Likud hangs on to its bad habits, since falsehood and the Likud are a perfect match."

The coalition is comprised of the Right and the religious parties.

"In politics anything is possible.  Sorrowfully, truth and politics don′t mix. There are parties who speak in the name of truth, in the name of Torah, and in the name of Eretz Yisroel, when in reality they support the Likud′s lies. It is clear that whoever is in the system and doesn′t scream out against destruction of settlements and shuls, is a part of the falsehood.  Those who knew and were silent when policemen burst into a caravan at three a.m. and evicted a mother and children, are partners in the evil that was perpetrated. It matters not if this a Shas, Yahadut HaTorah or Bayit Yehudi man. Those who don′t raise a hue and cry are not public servants, not Torah men and not Eretz Yisroel men. They are immoral persons."

Five years have passed since the expulsion- have we learned the lesson of Gush Katif?

"I call it the Holocaust syndrome′. I meet with famous researchers that researched the Gush Katif expulsion, and Holocaust researchers. It is amazing how they find similarities in how they proceed. The leaders know that the ′peace′ they signed in Camp David is just a different mode of war- with different strategies, hugs, polite meetings, ′gestures of good will′.  This is how they slice Eretz Yisroel like a salami.  They sliced Sinai to save Gush Katif, and they sliced the Gush to save Yesha.  They announce a construction freeze while building an Arab city- Rawabi- for one quarter of a million Arabs, in the heart of Eretz Yisroel, with assistance of the JNF (Keren Kayemet).  This sets the stage for the next move- ceding to the ′Auschwitz borders′, as defined by Abba Eban.

"The leaders know that they are personally preparing the next Yom Kippur War, but in order to save their holy (shaky) position, they continue to wave the ′peace′ flag.  The peace with Egypt is a farce.  In Egypt, Mein Kampf, by Hitler, yemach shemo, is studied, as well as the ′Protocols of the Elders of Zion′.  Both are anti-Semitic writings that call to kill Jews. Egypt is the source of animosity and hate in the world against Israel. What does the Prime Minister do?  He runs to report and prostrate himself in front of a dying Mubarak. And what does he announce upon leaving? "Egypt is an important and central component in the peace programs of Israel.′"

Are we going again as sheep to the slaughter?

"During the Holocaust there were neither grenades nor guns in the ghetto, nor a slice of bread for breakfast.  Today we have it all, it′s called ′the strongest army in the Middle East′.  Despite this, the leaders behave as the last of the  defeatists.

"They take Israel′s most significant assets, and hand them over to the enemy on a silver platter, free of charge. Holocaust researchers are amazed, and can′t believe what is happening here in Israel. The Gush Katif researchers have found astonishing similarities to the psychological warfare used against the Jews.  Black uniforms sewn especially for the expulsion, the march in black blocs to the Gush settlements, all orchestrated to paralyze and stun.   The soldiers went through mental brainwashing programming to shut down  and kill the soldiers′ natural Jewish compassion, and program them to act cruelly towards their fellow Jews.

Doesn′t the public realize where they are being led to?

"In the Arab countries, from Iran in the east to Morocco in the west, a billion Moslems are being raised on ′Itbach al Yahoud′ (slaughter the Jews). In Ramallah, Gaza, Cairo, Damascus, and Beirut, it is their motto.  They are preparing to carry it out in all earnest, while we are talking about ′peace′.

"Recently it was publicized that Meir Dagan, Mossad chief, hung up a chilling photo of the Nazis, yemach shemom, torturing his grandfather.  This picture formed his outlook concerning Israel′s enemies.  I recommend that the Prime Minister and ministers do, likewise, to hang this photo in the offices of all the decision makers.  It wouldn′t hurt to hang one in the fanatic left ′Peace Now′ office."

What is your message to Netanyahu?

"We say in our daily prayers: ′Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his dust.′  We don′t depend on any human being, since he is just that- only human. The Prime Minister must be aware that he will have to give a reckoning.  His declaration, ′two states for two nations′ is the beginning of the end. He already concluded a tenure like his predecessors. The Jewish nation will suffer from him some more, but ′theGlory of Israel will not lie!′  Many leaders have come and gone with the wind and the Jewish nation continues to exist despite its leaders. Our Sages already expounded (Tanchuma VaYigash): ′Hashem said: give me guarantors that you will keep the Torah…..They said, our children will be the guarantors.  Hashem accepted them immediately.′ Yes, our sons are a new generation that has sprung up in the Land.  They are exemplary, with Jewish pride, with pride of the Holy Land and the holy city of Yerushalayim, the city of the Mikdash. This is the generation that will replace the present leadership, and return the crown of leadership to its original state."
