Arabic Signs Replaced
Public pressure helped. The Kiryat - Malachi Municipality removed all "SLOW" signs in Arabic that were hung around the city. This followed a request by Shai Geffen, CEO of ′Our Land of Israel′, to the mayor. Gefen required removing the signs and placing traffic signs, because it affects people′s feelings and endangers human life. As a result, the signs were removed, and instead signs in Hebrew were hung.
