When the Tibi, Zuabi and Barakha contingent returned from hugging Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, there was a great unrest in the Knesset. Many MKs condemned, or were upset (at least apparently), but there was no alternative course taken to curb the terrorist stronghold that settled in the Knesset.
After checking the Rules of the Knesset, I was exposed to the fact that the House Committee has a tool that can hurt those who hurt the State of Israel, by using parliamentary immunity status. In the past, this tool was used to damage Rabbi Kahane and limit his movement, just because he visited the town of Umm al - Fahm. This precedent served me when I demanded deliberation to remove the immunity of Knesset members who meet with the arch -terrorist Muammar Gaddafi.
Terror Tours
As we all know, this is not an isolated case. Arab MKs opened the terrorist travel agency "Terror Tours". They meet with enemies of Israel throughout the world, and encourage them to strike Israel, using every possible medium. At the Knesset committee′s first debate, when I explained my request, I argued that the denial of immunity is tantamount to removing the ′yellow card′ warning before being completely thrown out of the Knesset and the country.
At the same discussion, I was bombarded by seething words by the Labor, Meretz and Kadima factions. A Labor MK called it "the Ben - Ari circus." Chaim Oron of Meretz resented the fact that the Likud is not cooperating with the left to stop the "dangerous man in the Knesset," while waving at me. A Kadima faction called my request for the removal of the immunity as one taken "from Hitler′s school of thought." However, between the first debate and the vote, the Zoubi drama took place in the Knesset.
Suddenly, those who called me bad names have become right-wing extremists. They defined Zuobi with words, that had I dared to use, I would find myself on a tree. During the ongoing discussion held, a landslide majority formed sending MK Zoubi a parliamentary punch. Deprivation of rights and immunity of MK Zoubi is only a harbinger. Her cohorts Tibi and Zahalka now know that the rules have changed.
A Toast: L′Chaim
Fortunately, the seekers of peace with Israel among the Knesset members, public officials, faithfully fulfilled their mission to stop the hatred festival of Israel. The actions of the Arab MKs have proven that from the talking stage, they move on to actions: practical cooperation with terrorist activities. Fortunately, the Israeli Knesset members to whom the Jewish Nation is dear pulled themselves together and went from talk to action.
At the end of the discussion session, I raised a cup to make a l′chaim: to life- to the life of the Jewish Nation, to the lives of the IDF soldiers, and to the lives of the flotilla heroes.
