Chazak uBaruch (May You be Strong and Blessed)*

Chezki Ezra Baruch, the diplomatic correspondent of Arutz 7 reminds that the media is biased and leftist, and calls on you to use only the rightist, more qualitative, media, * Recently he received financial compensation because the police publicized a lie, namely that he participated in "disturbances". Truth: The journalist took pictures of a police officer beating an Israeli settler, so the cop broke the journalist′s camera

"I feel that I have a great mission," says Chezki Ezra Baruch, who is the political diplomatic correspondent of Channel 7for about three years, and manages to beat his media fellow with good and especially objective, correct and untainted stories. "There are many media events that I attend, and when I read other news websites, I find that I was at a completely different event: the relationship between reporting and reality is entirely coincidental. Several reporter friends tells me that they are sending a report about some event, then they send a completely different report, rewritten by the editor but appearing in their name.

"Although in today′s era of open communication it is difficult to lie, and the people detect lies, but the media resorts to any means to divert and to discredit entire groups just because their opinion does not match the trend of left-wing media."

What really humors Chezki is the Eilat communications conference that was held a few weeks ago, where the leftist Ha′aretz newspaper editor Dov Alperon claimed that the Israeli media in general tends to the right.

In his opinion, "religious reporters don′t have what to look for in the secular media. We have to produce an alternative to the existing media and put the best minds into it. Unfortunately, the religious who entered the general media were unable to influence. Maybe the opposite happened."

Chezki Baruch revolutionized video stories that he transmits live including live coverage of events regularly blacklisted by the leftist media that likes to cover stories that muddy the right. Due to the revolutionary dramatic change that Channel 7 has led, half a million different users each month are regularly interested in a variety of news on the channel. The new financial site "Tachlis is a new innovation that began early last week and many will find interest in it".

For quite a few stories, even the general media have used the services of Chezki Baruch, who manages to bring live and dynamic stories as they happen. Chezki Baruch manages to find hot scoops, like the story of the Shimshon battalion flying banners, Netanyahu′s declaration of a Palestinian state at the Bar - Ilan speech, the military harassment of the IDF Rabbi, and much more. These reports are aside from many reports that the media ignores, and their only exposure is on Channel 7.

"From here I call on the people", he says, "The place to publish stories is on Channel 7. The more power we have, the more our influence will grow as well. Today, editors and reporters from all channels derive information from Channel 7 that has become a source of information, especially the exclusive information it brings.

"Since the disengagement the public does not believe the media, which openly became an "esrog"** (citron). Today, anyone who wants unbiased quality news without slanted editing and rewriting will find it in our website, unblemished and fascinating," he says. "No doubt, the media moved to the left than in recent years, the public feels it".

Recently, perhaps as a reward for being a brave journalist, Chezki received handsome compensation of 140 thousand shekels, after documenting a Border Police officer beating right-wing protesters at the entrance to Rachel′s Tomb. The officer, who noticed the photographing, broke Chezki Baruch′s camera. Baruch was detained for two hours by the police, and the police spokesman issued a false statement to cover up for the commanders in the field, that journalist Chezki Baruch took part in the disturbances. Chezki did not give up, filed a civil suit, and received adequate compensation.

* A Hebrew play on words on Chezki (chazak-strong) Baruch′s (Baruch-blessed) name

** The esrog (citron) is a fruit that needs much care and watching over to insure proper growth for use as one of the "Four Kinds" –Daled Minim) for the Succos Holiday. The word came into journalistic use when Aril Sharon′s murky criminal past came to light during the period of the "disengagement" planning, and it was feared that if his deeds were made public the plans would fall. Therefore, the news was to be kept secure and safeguarded like an esrog. Hence the term, that has even become a verb in journalistic language.
