 Minister Yuli Edelstein: "Keep the flame burning until we return to Gush Katif"

Edelstein said: "The Gush Katif Museum is the most important project that maintains the memory of Gush Katif, and it is a must to visit"


Information Minister Mr. Yuli Edelstein, visited the Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem this week. Edelstein, member of the Likud faithful, or "rebels", as termed in the media, due to their opposition to the expulsion - retold emotional and difficult experiences of those days, in which he moved to Gadid to strengthen the residents of the Gush.

During the visit, which lasted two hours, Edelstein said that the museum is an educational and explanatory place, whose existence is important in order to understand what was and in order that it will not happen again. Edelstein wrote in the visitors′ book that the Gush Katif Museum in is "the most important project for maintaining the memory of Gush Katif," adding: "Watch over the flame, until we return." In an interview this week he said that he left the museum that documents Gush Katif, in a highly emotional state, and that it is the duty of every citizen to visit there.

Minister Edelstein said during his visit: "We did not learn anything from history, if we would be smart enough to learn and understand, Israel would be in a completely different situation today." The Minister promised to help Gush Katif Museum, where, until today hosted seventy thousand visitors.
