Gush Katif Museum is preparing to host thousands of visitors during the days of Chanukah. Every night candles will be lit in the Mortars Menorah of Major Gideon Rivlin, HY"D, of Ganei Tal, who built the Menorah from mortar parts that fell in his settlement. Gideon was murdered in the Morag settlement while patrolling along the fence, a few months prior to the uprooting of Gush Katif . The ceremony will be include music and stories of miracles and heroism of Gush Katif residents, who have lived through a barrage of more than 7,000 mortar shells over the years.



During the eight days of Chanukah candles will be lit in the special menorah, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness, by a family representative of kidnapped soldier Gilad Ben Aviva Shalit; the Pollard family; Border Police officer Lazer Amitai from Kfar Darom; Dr. Sodi Namir, doctor of Gush Katif, Rabbi Yigal Kirsnzft , director of Chabad of Gush Katif and Gush Katif settlers who will tell personal and moving experiences of miracles and heroism of the settlers.



During the Chanukah holiday there will be a wealth of experiences at the museum, discounts of products Gush Katif, and a Gush Katif candle will be given to all visitors so they could participate in the giant Gush Katif products raffle.


Gush Katif Museum invites you to listen to David Chacham's Melave Malka program, Motzoei Shabbos from ten o'clock (22:00) until 02:00 o'clock AM, and Ami Maimon's program 'Chidodon' - every day at 15:00 to 16:00. Listeners can win entrance tickets to the Gush Katif Museum.
