The Ichud Leumi Chairman, Yaakov Katz, Warns Before the Elections:

These Elections Will Determine the Future of Eretz Yisroel! Ichud Leumi Will Prevent the Establishment of a Palestinian State

Each voter must bring at least another ten to the polls to cast a ballot for TET Ichud Leumi

The sad inheritance that Olmert leaves makes it imperative that Ichud Leumi is large and strong, for the benefit of the individual and the general public. It is impossible to depend on parties that masquerade as rightists, while selling Eretz Yisroel for a "lentil soup".

Ketzele, the elections are very close. The surveys look promising-five or more mandates.

"I hope that Ichud Leumi will go past the ten mandate mark. I hope that those who care about Eretz Yisroel will vote Ichud Leumi, the party that succeeded in uniting all the rightist factions.

"The upcoming elections will decide the fate of Eretz Yisroel. We are left with a sad inheritance from the Olmert government, with 60,000 Jews to be expelled, the division of Yerushalayim, and the handing over of the Kotel to callous murderers.

"Sadly, many parties are masquerading as rightists, although they gave a hand to Olmert's government. We must stop the dangers! Only a vote for Ichud Leumi can succeed in averting the catastrophe. And if we succeeded in deluding ourselves that the danger is passed, Obama sent Mitchell to remind us that the danger is at our doorstep."

What are the objectives that you have set for yourself in the Knesset?

"There is no doubt that the social issues go hand in hand with the political ones. The issues are: getting back the childrens' allowance, saving the educational institutions-I have lots of experience in this area, thank G-d- thawing the building in Yesha and relieving the financial stress in the religious and charedi sectors. We began the dramatic change when I was Sharon's close aide twenty years ago, and we will continue full force now.

What have you learned from the last war?

I have learned that the situation in Eretz Yisroel must concern each and every one of us. The missiles don't differentiate between Gush Katif and Ashdod, Gan Yavne, Gedera and Rechovot. The "Orange" struggle was correct. We were the only ones that fought hard against the expulsion. Anyone who doesn't want the next round of missiles to land in Kfar Saba, Netanya, Petach Tikvah, Ranaana and Gush Dan must understand that Ichud Leumi will lead the fight against land cessions.

"If, G-d forbid, they give the Arabs Yehuda and Shomron, we won't be able to live here. We are the only ones that will succeed in stopping Netanyahu. There is no doubt that the population has taken a turn to the right, but they must understand that is only one party that will really fight for all citizens."

And in conclusion..

"As I said, these are fateful elections. There is no time for games. Each and every one must take upon himself to bring in ten more voters for Ichud Leumi; friends relatives and neighbors. Ichud Leumi's message pertains to everyone. Everyone knows that the "Oranges" were correct. Therefore, in the short time left, we will roll up our sleeves and do all we can to save Eretz Yisroel by seeing that hundreds of thousands put the the Ichud Leumi ballot at the polls.
